This area, popularly known as the Upper Part, is enclosed by Roman walls.Inside the labyrinth of narrow streets of the historical centre, you can still breathe the atmosphere of what used to be the medieval city. The Santa Tecla Cathedral, declared a National Monument, is the most outstanding building in the old town, a district with special charm where you will also find Carrer Major, La Plaça del Fòrum or the Old Town Hall.The Upper Part is a must-see during our city tour. Tarragona residents and visitors find a wide range of gastronomic, cultural and leisure activities here; also during the celebration of the St. Magí festivities in August and the Santa Tecla festivities in September.
